Social Grant at Risk

SASSA at Risk OVER CHANGED BUDGET

The reversal of VAT increase will have an impact on many government work and finances as the VAT increase was part of the budget for 2025-2026

The social security grant was expected to increase but the current budget proposal will be scrapped and the finance minister must come with new budget proposal.

The minister will table another budget proposal next month on the 21st of May which must highlight key way the government can generate more money to fund most of its public services.

Millions of South Africans depend on SASSA and it always a good news when one hears an increase on that social security grant.

unfortunately there is a huge uncertainty regarding such increase as the government does not have enough money as yet.

The reversal of VAT was a win for many but the question many South Africans are asking is whether there are really alternatives to generate more money and investment to the current crippling budget.
