- Panyana Lesufi

The number plate can be detected by officials with its latest technology. The aim is to fight crime in the province and prevent fraudulent plate numbers in the entire province.

The event was attended by Germiston News along with its media team, most of municipalities in the province attended this VIP ceremony.

The new plates will feature advanced security elements, including a tamper-evident decal that self-destructs upon removal attempts, making it nearly impossible to reuse. Additionally, a scannable QR code will link to a cloud-based database containing vehicle and owner information, enabling swift verification by law enforcement. Other enhancements include the South African flag, the "ZA" country code, and a 2mm-thick black divider line for added authenticity.
