This support is targeted at traders from local townships and it also includes entrepreneurial training

provided by industry leaders from the Ekurhuleni Fresh Produce Market in Springs.

“We have always made our intention to boost the local economy and this is one of numerous

interventions that we are introducing to ensure that we provide much needed support to up-and-

coming small business in our communities,” explains MMC for Development Planning and Real Estate

Ald Nomadlozi Nkosi.

The application process has already started and deadline for the submission of completed application

forms, along with required supporting documents, is Monday 30 June 2025.

Applicants must submit:

Certified copies of South African ID or valid immigration documents;

A valid trading permit;

Proof of address (municipal statement of account, title deed, or lease agreement); and

A letter of support from a local business association, the ward councillor or CCC.
